I would love to be a part of YY Productions, but I am worried that I can't fit it into my scedhule. How time consuming is YY?"Most of the choreography is learnt off video, therefore there are'nt weekly practices. Though, there will be about two- three 2 hour practices held per month to rehearse as a group and tweak choreography. These practices will most likely be held on a weekend, and since there is only a few practices, we expect that you will make the effort to attend them. Performances will mostly be held on weekends, and will dure about an hour per performance. Performances will start in early October, and will continue throughout the year. So, if you already dance at another studio or are involved with other extra-curriculars, YY Productions would most definitley be possible to squeeze into your scedhule.
-
Where will practices be held?Practices will be held in local recreation centres, near-by schools, and possibly in the recreation spaces of some retirement homes.
-

Can I join both the Performign Arts component and Film Production component of the program?Yes! You can join and help out however much you wish. Often the performing arts students end up working with the film making students to create things such as dance videos, music videos and so on. But yes, if you wish to , for example dance for Yester Years, but also wish to try some directing for the films, you can!
